Fans are buzzing with anticipation as Young Thug appears poised to announce his fourth studio album. The rapper has officially confirmed his headlining spot at this year’s Summer Smash festival in Bridgeview, Illinois, set for Sunday, June 22.
A Triumphant Return
This marks his third major performance commitment since securing a plea deal in the YSL RICO case, allowing him to avoid prison time. In addition to Summer Smash, he is also slated to perform at Belgium’s Les Ardentes festival and Switzerland’s Openair Frauenfeld festival, both happening in July.

Speculation about a new album intensified after Thug made a striking appearance at a Miami Heat vs. Golden State Warriors game. He donned a jersey emblazoned with “UY Scuti,” the name of the universe’s largest known star. Adding fuel to the fire, he wiped his Instagram clean and followed an account tied to the same name, leaving fans convinced that a major announcement is imminent.
On Thursday, he took to X (formerly Twitter) with a cryptic post: “Y’all gonna have to beg me to drop this sh*t nocizzy.” Unsurprisingly, fans took the challenge head-on.
One enthusiastic supporter pleaded, “PRETTY PLEASE WITH CHERRIES ON TOP, JEFFERY!” while another wrote, “I’m literally on my knees in the break room begging you to release it.” Their playful desperation highlights the growing excitement around his next project.
Star-Studded Lineup
The 2025 Summer Smash festival boasts an electrifying lineup alongside Young Thug. Heavyweight headliners include Future, Yeat, and Don Toliver, with additional performances from Trippie Redd, Sexyy Red, Lil Yachty, Quavo, Ski Mask the Slump God, and many more.

The festival is set to take over SeatGeek Stadium from Friday, June 20, through Sunday, June 22. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 28.
“I’m grateful to be part of the biggest party of the year with some of my closest friends,” said co-founder Cole Bennett in a press release via Rolling Stone. “Hopefully, this year tops them all—Lucky No. 7.”
What’s Next?
In related news, Lil Baby revealed that he, Future, and Young Thug have been discussing a potential joint project. Speaking with Complex, he hinted, “A me-and-Future tape probably won’t happen anymore now that Thug is back. But something bigger might be coming.”
With all signs pointing toward a monumental return, Young Thug’s next move is one fans won’t want to miss.
