Billie Eilish just released the music video for her brand new single, “Therefore I am,” today, and it already has everybody talking.
Eilish announced this new single just 3 days ago (Nov. 9) via her social media accounts. “Therefore I am” was written by Billie along with her brother Finneas, who was also the song’s producer. This new track gets philosophical, playing off Rene Descartes’ famous quote translated from Latin, “I think therefore I am.”
Talking to Zane Lowe, Eilish talks about how this song “feels like [her],” saying it’s “so real and natural.” Like the single, the music video is fun and careless. The video, directed by Eilish herself, was filmed on an iPhone in the empty Glendale Galleria. She can be seen roaming around the deserted mall singing the track.
