According to TheWrap, Chris Evans will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Doomsday. Although his character in the film is unknown, he will play a major role alongside Robert Downey Jr. who’s set to act as Doctor Doom. The actor, who played Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America in the Avengers movies, made his last appearance in Avengers: Endgame. He also showed his face in Deadpool & Wolverine, but as another character, he played in the Fantastic Four flicks: Johnny Storm. The movie is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
Evans’ reappearance in the Avengers franchise has every fan scratching their head, considering that Captain America was a senior at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Now, Anthony Mackie will be taking on the role of the superhero in Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World, which hits theaters on Feb. 14, 2025.
Chris Evans played Captain America in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and reprised his role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and the Avengers movies.
