Coraline, one of the world’s most renowned animated films, is being featured for a 15th anniversary re-release and has secured a spot in the top five at the box office Originally created in the 2000s by author and illustrator Neil Gaiman, the movie tells the story of a young girl discovers a new world she enters an alternate reality that turns out to be illusory.
Backstory..
As she enters the new world, it appears to be better than her own in imaginable way. This includes attentive parents, a variety of delicious food, friendly neighbors, and inventive creations. In this town, everyone has buttons for eyes, and Coraline is pressured to have her eyes sewn on to fit in with this version of her second mother from another multiverse. However, she refuses to do so.
In this alternate world, which initially seems like the real one, the true evil and intentions are revealed, leading Coraline seek escape from it. To achieve her freedom, she must confront her second mother in order to rescue her real parents.
This beloved animated film has been a favorite for years, enchanting both children and adults who watch it repeatedly. The sequel will celebrate the film’s 15th anniversary and will be shown on the big screen in theaters.

According to Variety, Coraline ranked among the top five films at the box office. It debuted behind popular titles such as “Alien: Romulus,” “It Ends With Us,” “Deadpool & Wolverine,” and “Twisters“. The movie grossed $8.9 million from 1,535 theaters and has reached a total of $11.3 million since returning to theaters.
