One of the most beloved epic tv franchises is set to return after more than three years on pause!
Production is officially underway for the highly anticipated third season of HBO’s Euphoria. Earlier this month, reports surfaced that actress Sharon Stone was in talks to join the cast, though her involvement had not been confirmed at the time.
Now, according to Variety, Stone’s casting has been officially confirmed, though details about her character remain undisclosed. Expressing her excitement, she shared:
“There’s hardly anything more exhilarating than collaborating with such an incredibly talented team.”
She went on to praise Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, the show’s deeply talented cast, and its close-knit crew, adding, “I feel truly honored to be part of the Euphoria experience.”
Stone is best known for her iconic role as Catherine Tramell in Paul Verhoeven’s Basic Instinct (1992). Her acclaimed filmography also includes standout performances in the sci-fi classic Total Recall (1990) and the crime drama Casino (1995). Stone’s performance in Casino earned her an Academy Award nomination, highlighting her remarkable talent. She later won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series in 2004 for her compelling role in The Practice.
In addition to joining Euphoria Season 3, Stone will appear in the upcoming action sequel Nobody 2, starring alongside Bob Odenkirk. The highly anticipated film is set to hit theaters this August. She has also been cast in the comedy In Memoriam, directed by Rob Burnett.
Season 3 of Euphoria will introduce several new faces to the ensemble cast, including Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten.
