Word of the Day
I know many of you have been curious about the release date for the next Harry Potter series, and I have an exciting update. Warner Bros. Television has announced significant news regarding the upcoming series. While things are still in the early stages, they are currently searching for fresh young talent to take on key roles in the franchise.
Casting Call ✨
Currently, there is an ongoing casting call for those interested in taking on the iconic role. The casting team is specifically looking for children who reside in the United Kingdom and, if not, in Ireland. You might be wondering why these two locations are specified; while it hasn’t been officially confirmed and may still be a rumor, they plan to start filming soon and want to ensure the right settings.
What to expect..
The project’s update comes as a surprise, but the production start date is approaching more quickly than you might expect. They are currently seeking young talent, specifically children aged between nine and eleven, for roles starting in April 2025. The new cast will be stepping into the shoes of characters originally played by Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint, who were part of the franchise from a young age and helped turn it into a blockbuster success.
Casting Requirements
I believe this is an amazing opportunity! for young children eager to advance their careers. The franchise “Wizarding World” has stated, “We are committed to inclusive and diverse casting“. Before submitting applications, they encourage everyone to send in qualified performers for every role, regardless of ethnicity, gender, disability, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic, unless specified otherwise.
For the launch of this new series, the project will feature executive producers Gardiner, Mark Mylod, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts, J.K. Rowling, and Harry Potter producer David Heyman. Notably, Mylod has previously collaborated with HBO on projects such as Game of Thrones and The Last of Us, and he will be contributing his insights to some of the existing episodes.
