Maria Taylor is officially the new host of NBC’s Football Night in America. The segment follows the channel’s weekly Sunday Night Football. The aforementioned show has been on air for 11 years straight.
About the new host’s arrival, NBC Sports executive producer Sam Flood said
“Maria is the perfect choice to carry the legacy forward of anchoring the most-watched studio show in sports.”
Taylor transitioned from ESPN to NBC less than a year ago. She’s been hosting alongside Mike Tirico. But now he’ll be co-hosting with Cris Collinsworth.
Additionally, Taylor will be executive producing an eight-part documentary series via Peacock. The series will explore the life of a certain quarterback in the NFL.
