PEN15’s lead star, Maya Erskine, will work alongside Donald Glover in Amazon Prime Video’s newest series, Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The show derives from the 2005 action comedy film of the same name. It’ll be co-created and executive produced by Glover and Francesca Sloane. Additionally, the duo will be showrunners. Mr. & Mrs. Smith is a part of Glover’s deal with Amazon Studios.
About Erskine’s involvement, Glover said:
“Yeah. She’s dope. It’s exciting. I really love the show. I’m writing the finale now.”
She’ll also act in Disney+’s upcoming Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith was led by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. It was about an upper-class married couple who learn that they’re both assassins at competing agencies and have been appointed to kill each other.
