Scoop of the Day
Will Smith is sharing new tidbits about what to expect in Hancock 2, hinting that Zendaya will be involved in the project.
The actor playfully hinted, “There’s an exciting concept for Hancock 2 that’s really intriguing. We haven’t even discussed it yet, but I can share a little tidbit — Zendaya will be approached for a role in Hancock 2.”
This isn’t the first time there have been whispers about a possible sequel. Back in 2012, director Berg confirmed his intentions to create a follow-up to the original film.
Producers coming to film!
“We’ve been discussing the possibility of a sequel among ourselves — Will Smith, producers Michael Mann, Akiva Goldsman, and I. Everyone is eager to move forward, but coordinating our schedules has proven to be quite a challenge. We did hold several meetings last year, where we began brainstorming ideas for the sequel, with Will Smith himself contributing a concept.”
I genuinely believe it will come to fruition; it’s really just about finding the right timing,” he shared at that time.In the meantime, Theron expressed her enthusiasm, stating that if a sequel were to materialize, she would gladly jump at the opportunity to reprise her role “in a heartbeat.”
What’s expected?!
“You know, we had some discussions about a sequel for a bit,” Theron revealed to ComicBook.com. “It was more around the time the original movie was released, but we haven’t revisited that idea in recent years. Can you imagine us as superheroes using walkers? It’s a funny thought, but I’d definitely still be in!”

Hancock wouldn’t be the only film from Will Smith’s impressive body of work set for a comeback. He recently showcased his talent in the 2024 release Bad Boys: Ride or Die, and there was also an announcement back in March 2022 regarding a sequel to I Am Legend, which is set to feature Michael B. Jordan alongside him.
The 2007 post-apocalyptic movie is set to be penned by Akiva Goldsman, the co-writer of the original film, for Warner Bros. While the first installment concluded with the demise of Will Smith’s character, a scientist dedicated to discovering a cure for a devastating plague that wiped out much of humanity and transformed the remaining survivors into horrific creatures, the specifics of how he might reappear in the sequel remain uncertain.
